    Ingredients and substitutes

Instant keto mayonnaise – Or any keto-friendly sugar-free mayonnaise you can buy in your local store.

Sour cream – Always go for full-fat sour cream.

Fresh herbs – I use freshly chopped dill, chives, and parsley, but you can use dried dill and other herbs instead. However, if you decide to go for dried ones, you’ll need less of them; swap 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs for 1 teaspoon dried.

Seasoning – You’ll need salt, black pepper, garlic, and onion powder. If you like, add a clove of garlic (pressed) instead of garlic powder.

Lemon juice – Or apple cider vinegar, if you like it more!

Buttermilk, milk, or water - Use one of these to thin out the mixture and make a ranch dressing for a salad.

    Directions

This “how to make ranch dip” section will be the shortest of all on my blog! All you need to do is to take a medium mixing bowl, place all the ingredients inside, and mix until everything is combined. Then, you want to perform a taste test and adjust the salt and pepper if needed. That’s it!

    Serving ideas

This homemade dip can be enjoyed with some veggie sticks, keto crackers, and chips (like these ones - LOW CARB KETO TORTILLA CHIPS and LOW CARB CHIA CRACKERS). It can also be served alongside these BAKED KETO BUFFALO WINGS or BUFFALO KETO CHICKEN TENDERS.

    FAQ

How long will ranch dip last in the fridge?

Properly stored (in an air-tight container), ranch dip will last for up to 5 days in the fridge.

Can I freeze homemade ranch dip?

While store-bought dips and dressings may be suitable for freezing because of the oxidants, thickening agents, and emulsifiers inside, freezing homemade dips and sauces that contain dairy can be a disaster. They can curdle and split during the thawing process or give a bitter aftertaste if they contain buttermilk.
